Château de La Gardine
Château de la Gardine is a historic estate in the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation, in the Rhône Valley. Château de la Gardine is a family estate purchased in 1943 by Gaston Brunel, who worked tirelessly to develop it. Today, his sons, led by Patrick Brunel , oversee the vineyard, which now covers 54 hectares in a single block!
The vines of Château de la Gardine, , with exposure varying between south and southeast, are rooted in soils characteristic of the cru (rolled pebbles, limestone debris) and overlook the Rhône Valley. They are subject to careful management and uncompromising cultivation aimed at minimum yields. Rigorous plot selection, manual harvesting and traditional winemaking, combined with barrel aging, give the different vintages of Château de la Gardine all the exceptional soul of the Châteauneuf-du-Pape terroir.
