"Deep color with youthful highlights. Nose reminiscent of garrigue, with notes of cinnamon and stone fruit. The palate confirms the dominant fruitiness. Supple, elegant texture. A fresh, mentholated finish. A cuvée that favors finesse". (Le Guide des Vins 2016 - Gilbert & Gaillard)

Bettane & Desseauve

Bettane & Desseauve

Wine rated (2016 guide) 17/20 + Coup de Coeur (Reference wine)

Estate rated (2017 guide) 3*Stars (High-quality production that can serve as a benchmark in its sector)

About the wine:

Its inimitable peony aroma, reminiscent of the great Pinot Noirs, is incredibly charming and delicate, and will surprise many. It's in a class of its own, but now a great classic of the appellation.

About the domain :

We're delighted to have given a helping hand to this property, which was unknown until recently, but since 2011 has shown a consistency of style that places it at the forefront of the appellation. On this southern slope, Grenache takes on the finesse of Pinot or Cinsault, with a refined texture that will delight connoisseurs accustomed to fine Burgundies. Maturing has progressed even further this year.
