"Definitely a great wine!

"Xavier's flagship is the 2019 Châteauneuf Du Pape Anonyme and, in 2019, it's 60% Grenache, 15% Mourvèdre, 10% Syrah and the rest a mix of authorized grape varieties. Partially de-stemmed and aged in a mix of demi-muids and vats, it offers a beautifully pure, vibrant bouquet of black raspberries, white and black pepper, candied orange and violets. Complex, layered and nuanced, this beauty is medium to full-bodied, with a seamless texture and an excellent finish. It's both elegant and rich, and will keep for 15+ years." (Jeb Dunnuck 2020)

My first Xavier Vignon... I was very cautious in view of the comments based in particular on Robert Parker's scores. The wine turns out to be well made, not heavy and in fact very pleasant to drink. I'll have to try more Vignon...
