Château de Nages is part of Vignobles Michel Gassier, a family of winegrowers handed down from father to son for four generations. Château de Nages has thus been handed down from generation to generation, along with an immoderate love for vines, wine and the Mediterranean soil that bears them. The vineyard is part of the Costières de Nîmes, the southernmost part of the Rhône Valley, with its Rhone grape varieties, its soil (made up of pebbles deposited by the Rhône and Durance rivers) and the dry Mistral wind. It extends on gentle slopes to the south-east of Nîmes and as far as the Petite Camargue.
