Domaine Mouton - Côte-Rôtie Maison Rouge 2020
5/5 (1 review)
1*Étoile Hachette
"In the south of the appellation, at a place called Maison Rouge, Jean-Claude Mouton farms a small 0.8-hectare parcel of 30-year-old Syrah grapes. In good years like 2020, part of the grapes (20%) are not destemmed. Luscious aromas of jammy black fruit, praline and clove leave their mark on the nose. This ripe profile is echoed on the generous palate, with its pleasant sweetness and high-quality spicy oak. The tannins, silky but still a little firm, should mellow with a few years in the cellar". (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2023)
