M. Chapoutier
Chapoutier, an estate where vines have been a family affair for over two centuries! Seven generations of passionate winegrowers have shaped what is today one of the finest trading houses and wine estates in the Rhône. Domaine Chapoutier is a jewel that extends its estates to the heart of the finest terroirs of the Côtes-du-Rhône, Hermitage, Crozes-Hermitage, Saint-Joseph, Ardèche, Côte-Rôtie, Condrieu, Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Cornas AOC wines...

The passionate perfectionist Michel Chapoutier runs the estate with rigor and exacting standards. The vines and his parcel selections are cultivated in a totally biodynamic way, with soil maintenance adapted to the terroir and the banning of all non-natural inputs. Harvesting at Chapoutier is carried out exclusively by hand, at optimum maturity. Vinification is traditional, with the aim of naturally inoculating the musts with indigenous yeasts to enhance the expression of the taste personality of each terroir, thus producing great Rhône wines!

"A full-bodied red that's both structured and very fruity!

"It's bursting with red fruit aromas, with hints of spice and dried herbs, including bay leaf. Rich and fleshy, but with healthy tannins and an excellent freshness that enlivens the very harmonious finish. "Another perfect wine is the Ermitage le Meal Blanc 2015. The most decadent, unctuous and structured of the range, with irresistible notes of white currants, toasted nuts, celery seed and licorice, it hits the palate with full-bodied richness, a huge mid-palate and a refreshing, pure and sensational finish that never stops. If I had to choose a white wine for a desert island, this might be it." (Wine Advocate 2016)
