Bettane & Desseauve
"The subtle nose of blackcurrant and blackberry still needs to evolve, while the rich, opulent palate finishes with superb spices. A great success for this vintage ". (Le Guide Bettane & Desseauve des Vins de France 2017) The estate's "Grand Vin" shows precision, both powerful and taut, but also with a beautiful gourmandise. A good compromise between the classicism of 2010 and the sunny side of 2011.

Expert opinion
Bettane & Desseauve
Rated (guide 2017) 16/20 + Coup de Coeur (Very good wine)
Domaine rated (guide 2017) 2*Stars (A serious and recommendable production but a little more regular and homogeneous than the previous one)
About the wine:
The subtle nose of blackcurrant and blackberry still needs to evolve, while the rich, opulent palate finishes with superb spices. A great success for this vintage.
About the domain :
Owned by Frédéric Engerer, director of François Pinault's estates (including, of course, Château-Latour) and Jérôme Malet, who runs the Sarda-Malet domaine in Roussillon, Fontbonau is gradually establishing itself as a benchmark in the Drôme provençale region. The estate produces a white wine made from 90% Roussanne and a little Viognier, and two reds: Les Chaux, the estate's second wine, and Grand Vin.
