Domaine de la Tête Noire has been run by Jean-François Lénelle and Hubert Toint since 2008. They have pooled their know-how and passion for wine to turn these beautiful terroirs into an estate that has already won numerous awards from professionals.
The Domaine de la Tête Noire vineyard, which comprises 12 parcels in the Gigondas, Vacqueyras and Cairanne terroirs, is run by passion and conviction, using organic farming methods. The 18.5-hectare estate is on a human scale. The grapes are harvested by hand and vinified with knowledge and precision, guiding "nature" to produce winemakers' wines, the fruit of the vine and the work of each individual.
Domaine de la Tête Noire wines offer structure, finesse and freshness, and are characterized by greatdrinkability.

Domaine de la Tête Noire - Vacqueyras La Clapière 2013

3.4/5 (19 reviews)
89-90/100 Robert Parker
"La Clapière 2013 is a traditional blend of Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre, made mainly in vats, and 10% in barrels. It presents elegant notes of black fruits, violets and wild herbs, which are matched by a round, nicely concentrated (especially for this vintage) and balanced palate. In a vintage where most struggled to soften the tannins, this estate succeeded admirably." (Wine Advocate 2015 - Jeb Dunnuck)
