Domaine de Mourchon
Founded in 1998 by the McKinlay family, the Domaine de Mourchon has become an emblematic estate of the village of Séguret. With its isolated geographical location in a valley between the village and Mont Ventoux, this picturesque vineyard of some 20 hectares is rooted in clay and limestone soils benefiting from a unique micro-climate.

The McKinkay family, originally from Scotland, embarked on a major project as soon as they bought the vineyard - including the construction of a previously non-existent winery. This ultra-modern winery has enabled the arrival of Sébastien Magnouac, Domaine de Mourchon's cellar master.

Sustainable viticulture combined with traditional, perfected vinification results in structured wines with fruity aromas and intense colors. A style now recognized on the national and international scene.

" The 2016 Séguret Grande Réserve is a product that puts everyone in agreement and ticks all my boxes. A fabulous perfume of blueberries, kirsch, ground pepper, violets and crushed rocks is followed by a voluptuous, expansive Rhône wine revealing full-bodied richness, expansive texture, mid-palate rocking depth and soft tannins. This is a sensational Seguret that will instantly transport you to those magnificent limestone hillsides of southern France." (Jeb Dunnuck)

"The oldest Grenache vines".

"Family Grenache 2016 presents itself beautifully, with a deep purple hue followed by an incredible complex bouquet of black cherries and spicy blueberries mixed with hints of licorice, lavender, peppery garrigue and violets. A deep, rich and powerful Grenache sustained by a beautiful freshness, ripe tannins and a superb mineral finish. It would easily take its place in a blind tasting against choice Châteauneuf-du-Pape." "Fruity and spicy

"The 2017 Côtes du Rhône Villages Seguret Tradition is full-bodied, creamy and lush on the palate, yet remains lively, energetic with a long finish. It's fruity and spicy, with notes of mocha, clove and allspice lingering on the finish. The blend is 65% Grenache, 25% Syrah and 10% Carignan." (Wine Advocate - Joe Czerwinski) A fine introduction to the estate's wines.

(2013 vintage notes)

Ruby-colored, Châteauneuf du Pape exudes harmonious aromas of red fruit jam, fig and a hint of spice. Rich and elegant, the palate nevertheless reveals great freshness supported by a hint of minerality.
