"This year, the domaine "sees red" with this cuvée, which opens unreservedly with youthful aromas of plum, fig and spices. Greedy aromas are prolonged by a mouth of great concentration, warm, full-bodied, rather round, before a finish of fine, firm tannins. Character and potential ". (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2017)

About the wine:
A new favorite for Les Philip after last year's Grand Bécassier Vieilles Vignes 2014 blanc. This year, the domaine is "seeing red" with this cuvée, which opens unreservedly with youthful aromas of plum, fig and spices. Greedy aromas are prolonged by a mouth of great concentration, warm, fleshy and rather round, before a finish of fine, firm tannins. Character and potential.
About the domain :
Éric Philip, who settled in Sabran in 1995, and his son Sylvain manage a vast 130-hectare vineyard divided between the Rochemond and Grand Bécassier estates. Their Côtes-du-Rhône and Village wines are often featured in these pages, and in the best places.

Served in February 2017 with an unrefined dish combining meat and fish, no sauce, then cheese. Was unanimously appreciated.

Very disappointed for a coup de coeur hachette. The von seems immature without necessarily being on the fresh side of the fruit. Too bad
