About the domain :
A former priory of the Carthusian monastery of Valbonne acquired in 1965 and entirely restructured by Guy and Anne Steinmaier. These Burgundians have turned this 34-hectare estate, now run by their son Jean, into a benchmark, with wines of admirable consistency.

Middeldiepe tot diepe paarsrode kleur. Aan de neus doet tie bijna aan een jonge Cru du Beaujolais denken. Een explosie van rijp, rood en donker fruit. Ook wat aards en dan weer vers taartdeeg. In de mond weer dat explosieve rode en donkere fruit. Heerlijk sappig, crispy en rijp. Stevige tanninestructuur van zachte tannine, fijnkorrelig. Mooie grip, frisheid, materie, karakter en rijpingspotentieel. Score: 16+/20
