A fruity, elegant and accessible Crozes-Hermitage. A fresh, fruity version of Syrah. Fleur de Syrahne is a pleasure wine to share, with lovely notes of cherry and black fruit, balanced between power and freshness. A pleasant and effective red wine, to be served chilled. A lovely juice to discover!

Note and review by M. GILLES D. Published on 04/04/2024

Discover this unconvincing Crozes-Hermitage, whose only ambition seems to be to be fresh and fruity, with a light structure and a framework sliding towards a short, slightly tense finish. On the face of it, the short ageing period in stainless steel tanks has achieved its goal, but at a high price. In comparison, JABOULET's Les Jalets and, even more so, COMBIER's Laurent are a cut above. A spring wine to be drunk quickly and effortlessly with burgers, pizzas or sausage-merguez grills. Score = 3.4.
