"A racy Syrah
Selected from the best barrels of old Syrah vines over 40 years old, Cuvée Paul reflects even more of the appeal of its terroir, even "wilder" and sunnier. Hints of vanilla, licorice and dry earth lead to a palate of ripe plums, both velvety and full-bodied. Benefiting from a longer maceration, this cuvée de Vieilles Vignes perfectly expresses the richness of a racy Syrah.

Robert Parker - Wine Advocate
Rated (2020 guide) 91/100 (Outstanding wine)
Domain rated (guide 2022) Recommended (Wine producer recommended by Robert Parker - The Wine Advocate)
About the wine:
Aged in multi-wine casks, the 2017 Crozes Hermitage Cuvée Paul reveals a hint of vanilla, then eclipsed by notes of ripe plums, dark earth and black licorice. Full-bodied, mellow and velvety on the palate, the only small problem here is that there may be just a touch of obvious alcoholic heat on the finish. Drink this delicious wine young.
