Domaine de Montine
A family story that began in 1933 with the purchase of a farm. The Montine estate really took shape in 1987 under the control of brothers Claudy and Jean-Luc Monteillet, with the renovation and conversion of the hamlet's buildings into a winery and the marketing of bottled wines. Based in Grignan-les-Adhémar, in the heart of the Drôme Provençale, this family-run estate has been working from the outset to promote this satellite appellation of the southern Rhône Valley.

Surrounded by a luxuriant landscape of lavender fields, truffle trees and garrigue, Domaine de Montine extends over 70 hectares of vines on different terroirs. The soils are predominantly limestone and stony, but there are also clay-limestone soils. The vines are cultivated using the "lutte raisonnée" method, with the utmost respect for nature and the soil, in a "winemaker's" approach. Domaine de Montine produces wines mainly for the Grignan-les-Adhémar appellation, but also for Vinsobres, Côtes du Rhône, Côtes du Rhône Villages and IGP Méditerranée.

"All the charm of the southern Rhône!

"With open fruit (plum), clean and elegant, and a mouth of good concentration, full and silky, this half-grenache, half-syrah is immediately accessible. The already mellow woodiness with its mocha notes mingles nicely with the macerated red berries, prolonging the pleasure on the finish." (Le Guide Hachette 2024)

"A safe bet

A Viognier that blossoms wonderfully in the Grignan-les-Adhémar appellation. It reveals itself with elegance and charm. The short time spent in barrel brings out delicate notes of toast, nuts and vanilla. The palate is full-bodied, greedy and powerful, while retaining a pleasant freshness.
