Domaine La Collière
Domaine La Collière is the stronghold of Georges Perrot, a passionate winemaker who began his career with his father-in-law, who passed on his know-how, rigor and love of the vine. In 2000, Georges Perrot was at the head of 15 hectares of vines in the communes of Rasteau and Buisson, and his meeting with André Roméro in 2002, who rented him his cellar, enabled him to produce his first vintages and sign the birth certificate of Domaine La Collière.

At Domaine La Collière, Georges Perrot's work is rigorous: strict selection with the utmost care, environmentally-friendly winemaking and traditional vinification produce Côtes-du-Rhône wines with subtle aromas that he believes are worthy of being presented to connoisseurs. With the acquisition of a new parcel of land in 2004, Georges Perrot began to vinify the officially recognized and classified Rasteau. Domaine La Collière now offers a complete range of wines, all of them of the highest quality.

"One of the best wines is indeed this 2015 Rasteau La Fontaine, certainly one of the jewels of the vintage. It might even surpass the sensational 2010. Notes of charcoal, blackberries, blackcurrants and beautiful minerality are concentrated in a full-bodied, ripe, elegant and intoxicating palate, loaded with Provençal character. Count me in as a fan, it will drink well for more than a decade." (Wine Avocate 2016 - Robert Parker)

In its bright red color, this Côtes-du-Rhône is charming and expressive, revealing intense aromas of red and black fruits and sweet spices (cinnamon, cloves). The palate is pleasant, with a smooth, full attack and round, mellow tannins. Finally, the aromas of red berries give way to a slightly sweet finish, revealing all the generosity and delicacy of the South!

This pretty Rhône white reveals a lovely aromatic finesse from a blend of Grenache blanc and Clairette. The nose blends notes of white-fleshed fruit, citrus zest and floral notes. Round and well-balanced on the palate, with hints of toast, thanks to well-controlled vinification and ageing in wood (30% in demi-muid). A superb, value-for-money southern white!

Rating: Robert Parker 91-93/100
"The opaque purple-hued 2010 Rasteau is loaded with black fruits, licorice, smoked meat and melted chocolate aromas. Full-bodied, with surprisingly civilized tannins for a Rasteau, this finely-styled 2010 should drink well over the next 10-12 years." (Wine Advocate Oct. 2011 - Robert Parker)
