Jancis Robinson
"A fresh, mineral Marsanne with a hint of richness, ideal with a seafood platter!"
"Slightly smoky nose, with notes of flint and pear. Round and ripe on the palate, with good concentration of stone fruit. A lovely energy that enhances the wine. Structured and complex finish. Very elegant and well-assembled." (Jancis Robinson 2025). In a word: harmony!

Bettane & Desseauve
Rated estate (2024 guide) 3 stars (High-quality production, serving as a benchmark in its sector)
About the estate:
Jérôme Coursodon is at the helm of one of Mauves' renowned estates. The Saint-Joseph wines from this part of the appellation (Mauves-Tournon) are different from those further north, around Sarras, even though they are all produced on granite soils. The estate's reds are often more accomplished than the whites.

Guide Hachette des vins
Rated estate (2024 guide) Award-winning wines (This producer's wines are regularly awarded by the guide)
About the estate:
Established for four generations in Mauves, the birthplace of the Saint-Joseph appellation, Pierre Coursodon, the father, and Jérôme, the son, who took over in 1999, are at the helm of 17 hectares of vineyards dedicated solely to Saint-Joseph, mainly red. The wines from this estate have long been included in the Guide's selections: with rare consistency, they are regular recipients of stars and Favorites.

Wine rated (2026 guide) 93/100
Rated estate (2022 guide) 1*Star (Up-and-coming stars or quality winemakers producing good-quality wines; you won't be disappointed when tasting the wines from these estates)
About the estate:
The Coursodon family has been producing wine since the late 19th century. The estate owns vineyards in the renowned areas of Mauves, Tournon, Saint-Jean-de-Muzol, and Glun. The white wines display a beautiful personality, without excessive oak. The red wine, L'Olivaie, comes from the heart of Sainte-Épine, in the village of Saint-Jean-de-Muzols. However, we found the latest vintages to be very demonstrative, with very pronounced woodiness. The result is wines that are not always very easy to drink. We regretfully have to deduct one star from the estate.
