"Rich and subtle Saint-Joseph

A Saint-Joseph worthy of the great Côte-Rôtie! On the nose, we find the floral and fruity dimension of Northern Rhône Syrahs, supported by pretty spices. The palate is velvety and round, with pleasant, generous tannins. Long, inviting finish. A wine to be enjoyed between 1 and 5 years after bottling.

Expert opinion

Bettane & Desseauve

Bettane & Desseauve

Domain rated 1*Star (A serious, commendable production, in keeping with what one has the right to expect from its appellation(s))

About the domain :

This estate has a few pretty vines in the Côte Blonde area, including one on Goutay, near their home, but their best wine comes from Les Rochains, on the schists near La Landonne. The production still lacks homogeneity, but the style is authentic, with the mark of the whole harvest. The 2017s showed a beautiful face this year.

Domaine rated (2024 guide) 1*Star (Stars in the making or quality winegrowers with a good level of production, you won't be disappointed when you taste the wines from these estates)

About the domain :

The Garon sons bring out the best in the diversity of Côte-Rôtie terroirs. We are seduced by the style of the domaine's wines, which are distinguished by their finesse of texture. The fruit is precise, and the ageing progresses according to the terroirs and their ability to handle the wood. Among the different cuvées, La Sybarine evokes the expression of granitic soils; Les Triotes, located on the Côte Blonde, next to Lancement, comes from schist; Les Rochins is born on the brown schist of the Côte Brune.
