"Trigone is focused on black fruits with a spicy character, and despite a still closed mouth, there's a hell of a lot of energy in this bottle." (Le Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France 2022-RVF) Le Soula goes off the beaten track with Trigone Vin de France. This blend of several vintages expresses aromas of red fruits and spices, accompanied by more floral nuances.

Rated (guide 2022) 15/20 (Good wine)

About the wine:
Trigone focuses on black fruits with a spicy character, and despite a still closed mouth, there's a lot of energy in this bottle.
About the domain :
On the beautiful, high-altitude granite terraces of the Fenouillèdes region, northwest of Maury, Gérard Gauby and a few associates acquired this certified organic estate. In 2016, Wendy Wilson replaced Gerald Stanley, who had run the estate since 2008. The red and white wines are vinified in barrels on the basis of very natural principles: indigenous yeasts, no acidification, no chaptalization. Never lacking in freshness or elegance, the reds have recently gained in structure and fleshiness. But from the very first vintage, in 2001, Le Soula has distinguished itself primarily through its whites, which have impressed us with their purity and intensity: the combination of Macabeu, Sauvignon Blanc and several other grape varieties works wonders. The wines are often worth waiting for to reach their full expression.
