Domaine La Tour Vieille
The estate The Old Tower In the heart of Roussillon, where vineyards meet the sea, Vincent Cantié in Collioure, who founded the estate in 1982, and Christine Campadieu in Banyuls have joined forces to continue the region's winemaking tradition. The vineyard of The Old Tower covers a total of 13 hectares of vineyards with an average age of 40 years, located in a majestic setting at altitudes reaching up to 220 meters above sea level.
Grenache reigns supreme on the Côte Vermeille, the only grape variety authorized for producing Banyuls wines, while in Collioure other varieties enrich the aromatic palette of the wines: Syrah, Mourvèdre, Carignan, Maccabeu, and Roussanne.
On predominantly schistose soil, the vines are arranged in terraces, particularly in Banyuls, and are cultivated exclusively by hand. The vines are managed using sustainable methods inspired by organic criteria and with respect for the environment.
The La Tour Vieille estate produces white, red, and rosé Collioure wines, as well as two white and red Banyuls wines. The range is impressive, of unquestionable quality, and transports us to its vineyards with emotion and admiration. A fine ambassador for Roussillon wines.
