"A convivial vintage par excellence!

"Dark crimson. Spicy nose. I wouldn't like to be served this wine blind! Very ripe fruit. A little pinched on the finish at the moment." (Jancis Robinson 2024)

About the domain :

Hervé Bizeul, winegrower and rebel writer, has little to prove: his estate is one of the Roussillon's elite. But that doesn't stop him from continually challenging himself, breaking new ground, innovating, thinking outside the box and creating new cuvées. A case in point is his pinot noir, which has come out of nowhere to bravely withstand the rigors of the Agly valley's sun and tramontana winds. Here, each cuvée has its own personality, sometimes uncompromising, just like its winemaker. From no less than 7 different terroirs comes a serious and diversified interpretation of Roussillon. A model of its kind.

A simple wine, marked by black fruit with a few spicy notes, easy to drink but nothing extraordinary, rather formatted, so without much personality or originality. Fashionable wine merchant's wine, not bad but quickly boring.
