A clerk in Paris, Philippe Modat discovered his passion for working with vines. He spent his time between Paris and the Roussillon region, before settling fully into the estate. Created in 2007, Domaine Modat has already come a long way. His two sons have now taken up the torch with brio. They are the new faces of a Roussillon vineyard in full renaissance.
Domaine Modat has almost exclusively century-old vines and has been certified organic and biodynamic since 2015. Their vineyards cover 25 hectares.
Domaine Modat works with respect for the grapes and is as hands-off as possible during vinification.
