Vol de Nuit is the purist, no-nonsense expression of Carignan rooted deep in schist. Intense, complex, mineral nose, garrigue herbs, verbena, faded rose, blackcurrant fruit paste. On the palate, the wine is straightforward, fine, saline, finely spiced. It is full-bodied and dynamic, finishing with lines of great purity. Juicy and supple.

"The Côtes du Roussillon Villages Origine is an equal sharing of Grenache, Syrah and Carignan, aged in a 40hl Bourguignon foudre. This fabulous 2013 reveals a dark purple color as well as notes of cassis, plum, ink, licorice and sweet wood. Strong, full-bodied and hyper-concentrated, with an unctuous texture, it remains reasonably civilized on the palate, with very slight heaviness, ripe tannins and lovely overall freshness.
