Bettane & Desseauve
Rated estate (2024 guide) 2 stars (A serious and recommendable production, but a little more consistent and uniform than the previous one)
About the estate:
Following the death of his father in 2011, Fabien began to reclaim the family vineyards with his partner Chloé. The estate now covers 25 hectares, mainly in Arbin, half of which are red and half white. A new winery was built in 2017. The reds are in the process of being certified organic and the whites will follow. The estate is experimenting with aging in amphorae and concrete eggs. The range is representative of Savoie wines, well distributed and affordably priced. The estate is growing in strength.

About the estate:
Fabien Trosset took over the family estate in 2011 following the death of his father. At the time, it comprised 7 hectares in Arbin—one of the crus dedicated to Mondeuse—and the entire harvest was delivered to a cooperative. Today, the winemaker vinifies on the property and has increased the planted area to 24 hectares, a large part of which is reserved for Mondeuse.

Wine rated (2025 guide) 90/100
Rated estate (2024 guide) Selected (Please note that this guide is a ranking and, as such, all the estates listed in it, even those without stars, represent, in our opinion, the excellence of French production.)
About wine:
Williams pear nose with a hint of spice. The palate is full-bodied, with a frank expression of yellow fruit, a slender profile, and a pleasant overall balance.
About the estate:
Fabien Trosset and his partner Chloé took over the estate of Jean-Louis Trosset, Louis and Joseph Trosset's first cousin, in 2011. In 2013, they expanded the operation with part of the Joseph Trosset estate's vineyards. Most of the vineyard is planted on the Arbin terroir, showcasing the Mondeuse grape, whose interpretations range from smooth, fruity wines to ambitiously aged vintages. Perfectly mastered, the wines, including the whites, have undeniably gained in definition.
