Situated in the Combe de Savoie region of France, in Arbin, Château de Mérande is the fruit of generations of work: the Genoux family already cultivated vines in the 13th century in Abymes, and settled in Arbin in the 20th century.
The 2000s marked a major evolution in the field.
In 2000, the vineyard was enlarged with the re-opening of former hillsides. In 2001, the renovated winery was moved to Château de Mérande - a landmark in local history.
Since 2009, the Genoux brothers have been managing the Château de Mérande vineyard according to biodynamic principles, in addition to certified organic viticulture.
The 12 hectares that make up this Arbin estate are planted mainly with Mondeuse.
