Soleil d'Automne is a very floral, complex mellow wine, combining notes of fresh fruit, slightly honeyed dried fruit and citrus. Typical Manseng, a charming wine!

Bettane & Desseauve

Bettane & Desseauve

Rated (guide 2017) 14.5/20 (Vintage 2015) (Good wine)

Domaine rated (2020 guide) 1*Star (A serious, recommendable production, in line with what one has the right to expect from its appellation(s))

About the domain :

Philippe Fezas has been pampering his vines since 1995, when he took the plunge and added winemaker to consultant to Seguin-Moreau. Committed to producing expressive wines, which are distributed to wine merchants and fine restaurants, he takes great care in designing his parcels of land, in contrast to the surrounding production. His two côtes face the Pyrenees, with a variation of soils between fine clays (côte d'Heux) and more chalky soils (terres blanches).

About the domain :

Heir to 4 generations of winegrowers established here since 1893, Philippe Fezas gazes out from his 50-hectare estate at the small 13th-century church in the nearby hamlet of Heux. In the rows of vines blows the chiroula, a beneficial wind that dries the bunches, which will give flocs, armagnacs and Côtes de Gascogne of high expression. A sure bet.

A rather consensual wine that lacks character.
