Note: Guide Hachette 1*(Very successful wine)
"A lovely blend of tannat (80%) and syrah planted on 10 ha of clay-limestone soil. Dressed in an elegant cherry burlat color with black tints, this 2012 offers a lovely bouquet of red and black fruits (cherry, blackcurrant, blackberry), accompanied by a fine amylic nuance. The palate echoes the nose, with a clean, well-balanced, fresh attack, supported by already supple tannins". (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2014)

Expert opinion
Bettane & Desseauve
Domaine rated (2018 guide) 2*Stars (A serious and recommendable production but a little more regular and homogeneous than the previous one)
About the domain :
The Laplace brothers have adapted the style of local wines to contemporary needs, seeking greater balance and precision in winemaking.
RVF - La Revue du Vin de France / Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France
Domaine noté Sélectionné (We remind you that this guide is a prize list, and as such, all the estates that appear in it, even without a star, represent, in our eyes, the excellence of French production).
About the domain :
The Laplace family has been attached to this independent estate, one of the largest in the appellation, for three generations. These cuvées are in a clear, well-defined vein, without exuberance, reflecting a desire to produce very classic wines. They age gracefully and harmoniously.

Tannins are a bit too stern for a wine which shold be easy going. It probably needs time to soften up, but this was ot supposed to be the reason to buy it, at least for me.
