Guida ai vini Hachette

Guide Hachette des vins

Rated domain (2020 guide) Award-winning wines (Wines from this producer regularly win awards in the guide)

About the domain :

"Coralie de Boüard spent her childhood at Ch. Angélus (saint-émilion premier grand cru classé A), where she worked alongside her father in communications, marketing and sales. In 2014, she took over the management of Ch. la Fleur de Boüard (lalande-de-pomerol), then in 2016 bought a 30 ha vineyard in montagne-saint-émilion: Ch. Clos de Boüard (formerly Ch. Tour Musset)."

Domaine rated (2017 guide) The area to follow

About the domain :

"Coralie de Boüard moves to Montagne. This 30-hectare vineyard in Montagne-Saint-Emilion was bought from the Castel family in 2016 by Coralie, Hubert de Boüard's eldest daughter. With a degree in international business, she trained in winemaking at Angélus and La Fleur de Boüard. Le Clos de Boüard benefits from high-performance equipment (stainless steel vats and barrel cellars). A few full barrel vinifications took place in 2016. This was a hands-on vintage, vinified with grapes grown by the previous owners. But the quality and finesse of the tannins in the 2016 already suggest a vintage that will stand out from the crowd.

Vin noté (guide 2021) 92/100

A delicious, juicy red with plum, chocolate, hazelnut and walnut character. Full-bodied, with ripe tannins that develop on the palate. Long, flavorful finish. Drink after 2022.

Vin noté (guide 2020) 90/100

About the wine :

Lots of freshness in this bouquet, with notes of red berries, cherries and blackcurrants. Juicy attack. Good reflection of olfactory characteristics on the palate. La Dame de Boüard has tight but fine tannins that hold up well alongside the acid structure. Refreshing, slightly saline finish. An inviting, fresh wine. 2022-2033

Vert de Vin

Vert de Vin

Vin noté (guide 2020) 90-91/100 (Jonathan Choukroun Chicheportiche)

About the wine :

The nose is elegant, greedy and offers a certain richness as well as a lovely finesse of grain. Notes of crushed strawberry, crushed blackberry and, more lightly, blueberry are combined with touches of bright violet plum, as well as hints of caramelization, chocolate, a subtle touch of vanilla and an imperceptible hint of coffee. Fruity, elegant and racy on the palate, with a lovely acidic structure, tension, minerality and fine grain. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy blackcurrant, blackberry and, more lightly, violet, combined with hints of redcurrant, lilac and subtle hints of licorice, toast, chocolate, an imperceptible hint of coffee (in the background) and fine salinity/iodine (in the aftertaste). Good length. The tannins are elegant, precise and finely firm. Nice salinity on the finish/persistence.
