Tasting Sadie's 2023 Skerpioen vintage is like a deliciously zesty sea spray: available in very limited quantities!
"A fresh white blend that presents lime zest, sliced apples, nectarines, and fennel on the nose, followed by a wet stone minerality on the palate that only adds to the purity of the fruit. It is medium-bodied, with a salty freshness that keeps you coming back for more. Drink now or hold." (James Suckling 2024)

About wine:
Skerpioen 2023 is planted with a blend of Chenin Blanc and Palomino grapes on wind-blown sand and limestone. Eben Sadie remarked, "If Mad Max had a vineyard, this would be it. It is a five-hectare plot that is very exposed to the wind, planted in 1910, with tangled branches (this may be the first time this term has been used in a tasting note). This wine has the highest extract of Sadie's white wines. Its nose is fresh and vibrant: linseed oil, notes of yellow fruit and sea spray. The palate is based on sharp acidity, full of tension and salinity, and very linear on the finish. Divine. 2025-2045
