"Tasting Sadie's Skerpioen 2023 vintage is like deliciously zesty sea spray: in very limited supply!"
"A fresh white blend that shows lime zest, sliced apples, nectarines and fennel on the nose, followed by a wet stone minerality on the palate that only adds to the purity of the fruit. It's medium-bodied, with a salty freshness that keeps you coming back for more. Drink it or keep it. (James Suckling 2024)

About the wine:
Skerpioen 2023 is jointly planted with chenin blanc and palomino on windblown sand and limestone. Eben Sadie remarked: "If Mad Max had a vineyard, this would be it. It's a five-hectare parcel with great exposure to the wind, planted in 1910, with tangled twigs (perhaps the first time this term has been used in a tasting note). This wine has the highest dry extract of Sadie's white wines. The nose is fresh and vibrant: linseed oil, notes of yellow fruit and sea spray. The palate is underpinned by sharp acidity, full of tension and salinity and very linear on the finish. Divine. 2025-2045
