"A pure, intense and refined Riesling according to the Wine Advocate!"
"Impressive spices hit you as soon as your nose dips into the glass. Enormous flinty energy combines with a compact, super-chalky structure on an electrifying palate. Very long, concentrated finish that just won't quit. Made from biodynamically grown grapes and Respekt-certified. Drink now, but better from 2024 onwards". (James Suckling 2023)

Expert opinion
Robert Parker - Wine Advocate
Rated (guide 2023) 95/100 (Extraordinary wine)
Domaine noté Recommended (Wine producer recommended by Robert Parker - The Wine Advocate)
About the wine:
Bottled on the very day it was tasted (!), Kirchspiel Westhofen Riesling GG 2022 is pure, intense and refined, but also untameable with its chalky nose. Silky, fresh and elegant on the palate, this is a rather lean Kirchspiel, enormously saline with a citric finish. This is a radiant, purist limestone Riesling with salivating salinity and spiciness on the finish. The wine is tight, fresh and tangy. Natural cork. Tasted at the estate in July 2023. 2028-2045

About the wine:
Very concentrated, introverted nose. Cherry pits rather than cherries! So young. Like a tense spring. For the cellar... 2025-2035

Falstaff
Wine rated (guide 2023) 95/100
About the wine:
Still closed, spontaneous fermentation, slight reduction, yeast, apple peel, a little malt and miso. The palate has a lively acidity that goes all the way through, quite maritime, oyster water, dense in extract, but also elegant and playful with mineral finesse.
