"A fascinating, complex and refined Riesling in very limited quantities!"
"What finesse and subtlety in this bouquet that reveals a multitude of nuances, without any of them overpowering the others. On the palate, the wine displays tension and salinity. Freshness, depth and, once again, the ability to create a link between power, fullness and finesse. The summary of a great wine" (Yves Beck 2022)

About the wine:
Brunnenhäuschen Riesling GG 2021 offers a clear, intense and warm bouquet of ripe fruit, crushed limestone and iron. On the palate, silky and very elegant, this is a full-bodied yet pure, saline and stimulating red clay-limestone Riesling. Texturally, it's a finely tannic Brunnenhäuschen that's still nobly bitter. It's a kind of bridge between Westhofen and Wittmann's Niersteiner, and its balanced, silky character is closer to Niersteiner than, say, Keller's Abtserde. 12.5% declared alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted at the estate in August 2022. 2025-2045

Rated wine (guide 2022 ) 18/20
About the wine:
Deep, fresh and elegant, with smoky notes of wet stone, lemon balm and cooked lemon. The creamy palate is still quite closed at this stage, with only relentless strength and drive to suggest the full extent of unrealized potential. Notes of extract and sweetness are balanced by lovely energy and zesty concentration. 2024-2032

About the wine:
Extremely fresh, subtle and precise, you can almost smell the sun and wind of late autumn when this wine was harvested. There are also aromas of lemon balm and baker's yeast. The creamy mid-palate is highly concentrated and refined, followed by an extremely long, concentrated and tight finish. Made from biodynamically grown grapes and certified Respekt. Vegan. Drink or store.

Falstaff
Wine rated (guide 2022) 95+/100
About the wine:
Complex, mineral and spicy nose, lemon balm and marjoram, dried lemon peel, a little too ripe. On the palate, the acidity seems firm and as concentrated as the phenolic and mineral compounds. Beneath the grippy structure lies a layer of suppleness.
