On the Grand Cru Kaefferkopf, blending is permitted. 70% Gewurztraminer and 30% Riesling are harvested on the same day from the oldest plots, aged between 60 and 70 years. Grand K has a golden straw yellow color and offers a blend of yellow fruit, white flower and candied lemon aromas. A perfect alchemy on the palate, where the fruit and spice of Gewurztraminer blend harmoniously with the minerality and elegance of Riesling. A Great Kaefferkopf with a Great K!

Nose
Very flattering, the nose is a blend of yellow-fleshed fruit (peach, mango), white flowers (acacia, jasmine) and candied lemon.
Mouth
Smooth and delicate. Fruity, spicy notes typical of Gewurztraminer. Finishes with the exceptional freshness of Riesling.

About the domain :
Located in Ammerschwihr, an important wine-growing village northwest of Colmar, this house celebrated its four hundredth anniversary in 2014. Its 17th-century cellars house old oak tuns still in use today. It combines a trading structure with a biodynamic estate.
