Domaine Bader
4.2/5See the 8 reviews
The origins of the vineyard Bader date back to the 17th century, according to the Epfig diocesan archives. Passionate about vines and wine, the family Bader has spanned the centuries, with many generations at the helm of this 11-hectare farm.
Oenologist Pierre Scharsch bought the Bader vineyard in 2006 and restructured it, including converting it to organic from 2016. The 2018 and earlier vintages were in conversion to organic production, and from the 2019 vintage onwards, the wines are certified organic.

2*Coup de Coeur Hachette
"This is not the first sweet wine from the estate to be noticed by our jurors. This one rises to the top. A golden yellow color with amber highlights, a concentrated, powerful, complex nose of candied quince and honey: an announcement of rare richness, which is confirmed on the palate. Density, power, opulence, all point to great substance, without forgetting the hint of freshness, which gives dynamism and length. (Residual sugars: 202 g/l, 50 cl bottles)" (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2022). A holiday delight!
