Son of the Sun, Gewurztraminer here is planted on a gentle north-facing slope of red marl, enabling slow, optimal ripening while retaining freshness. The nose reveals classic aromas of pepper and rose, which are repeated on the palate. We love the elegant sweetness that adds deliciousness to this well-balanced cuvée.

Expert opinion
Bettane & Desseauve
Domain rated (2017 guide) 3*Stars (High-quality production that can serve as a benchmark in its sector)
About the domain :
Étienne Loew fights courageously to make known the little-known terroirs of Westhalten, where very few winegrowers bottle their wines. Careful vinification and long ageing (mainly in stainless steel tanks) produce pure, precise wines, and the Rieslings are very dry.
Robert Parker - Wine Advocate
Rated (2017 guide) 88/100 (Vintage 2014) (Good wine)
RVF - La Revue du Vin de France / Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France
Domaine rated (2017 guide) 2*Stars (These great estates, often blessed with fabulous terroirs, are must-haves which, because of their consistency and the excellence of their production, must be included in the cellars of discerning wine lovers).
About the domain :
For several years now, this estate, skilfully managed by Etienne Loew, has been winning us over with its consistent production and the very high quality of its wines. He has found the key to fully embracing the nuances of the soils around Westhoffen, and defends this somewhat isolated vineyard like a guardian watching over his rampart! His touch is sure, his thinking open, and his wines stand out for their elegance. An estate worth discovering.
