"One of Argentina's finest whites according to the Wine Advocate, this Chardonnay comes from one of Catena Zapata's most sublime parcels!"

"The White Stones Chardonnay 2021 is more subtle and elegant, a little closed with moderate ripeness and alcohol and a mineral palate with strong chalky sensations. It may be interesting to reproduce their explanation of this wine, one of Argentina's finest whites: "The term 'white stones' refers to the composition of these rows of soil, with white oval stones covered with gravel. The "Adrianna" vineyard is planted at an altitude of almost 1,500 metres above sea level, in the Gualtallary district of Tupungato. The stony soil prevents deep root growth, allowing for optimal drainage. These soils are very low in organic matter, helping to sustain the vines' conditions of permanent stress. The cool nights allow for very slow ripening, optimal acidity retention and low yields. This wine is serious and tasty". (The Wine Advocate 2022) - Delivered in wooden cases for orders of 3 bottles of this wine (excluding Point Relais delivery).

"A great Malbec by Catena Zapata, rated 99/100 by the famous James Suckling, limited quantity!"

"Blackberries, black tea and perfumes. Full-bodied, with fine, dusty tannins and a seamless texture. Very long and consistent. A gorgeous, tactile wine. Drink now, but better in three or four years." (James Suckling 2022) - Wooden case delivery on orders of 3 bottles of this wine (excluding Point Relais delivery).

"A wine judged phenomenal by the Wine Advocate!

"The Catena Alta Malbec 2019 transported me into the spirit of the 2016, two fresh vintages. It is a blend of grapes from different vineyards that were harvested at different times to ensure optimal natural acidity and moderate alcohol levels. Whole berries are hand-loaded into small-format fermentation tanks and 225-500-liter barrels. The wine is precise, clean, floral and very elegant, a little closed at first. The palate reveals a very fine thread, satiny tannins and lively acidity with hints of blood orange. This is a phenomenal wine". (The Wine Advocate 2022) - Delivered in wooden cases for orders of 6 bottles of this wine (excluding Point Relais delivery).

"A very fine, precise Argentine Cabernet with fantastic freshness, according to James Suckling!"

"Like most Catena Cabernet Sauvignons, Catena Alta Cabernet Sauvignon 2019 is not a 100% varietal wine, but a blend of 96% Cabernet Sauvignon and 4% Cabernet Franc, as Cabernet Sauvignon alone is often not complete enough. The Cabernet Franc must have given it an extra kick, reinforcing the already fresh character of the vintage. The palate is medium-bodied, with plenty of fresh herbal aromas, and very fine, varietal tannins." (The Wine Advocate 2021) - Delivered in wooden cases for orders of 6 bottles of this wine (excluding Point Relais delivery).

"A 100% Malbec grown in high mountains by an estate that has become an Argentine icon!"

"The young, juicy 2021 Catena Malbec has a lovely combination of spices, berries and herbs that make it balanced, expressive and appealing. It's round, velvety and beautifully crafted in an easy-to-understand, drinkable style and commercial profile. A champion of drinkability." (The Wine Advocate 2022)

"Taste a chardonnay typical of the heights of the Andes, pure and floral!"

"The Catena Chardonnay 2021 is vibrant and harmonious, with plenty of balance and freshness, varietal with elegant, shy aromas of white flowers and a long, dry finish with purity of flavor, imperceptible oak and very good overall balance." (The Wine Advocate 2022)

Catena Zapata - Adrianna Mundus Bacillus Tarrae 2011

celebration

An absolute benchmark for the Domaine, Mundus Bacillus Tarrae comes from the Adrianna vineyard, planted at an altitude of 1450 meters. The result is a wine with an intense, deep purplish color. The nose reveals aromas of ripe red fruit, violets and spices. The palate is concentrated and tannic, with flavors of blackcurrant and bitter chocolate. A great wine!

"This is a high-contrast Malbec, rich and energetic with crushed berries, as well as peaches and orange zest. Full body and supple tannins, but still fresh and lively. A little Semillon in these plots. Drink now or cellar. (James Suckling 2020)

Catena Zapata - Cabernet Sauvignon 2017

90/100 Robert Parker

Argentina
cabernet sauvignon
freshness

"Compared to the 2016, the 2017 Catena Cabernet Sauvignon seems a little riper in its fresh style, with moderate alcohol and good acidity. This one still contains small percentages of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, and has aged in oak barrels for 12 months. Ferruginous notes develop over time in the glass." (Wine Advocate 2018)
