"Fresh, ripe nose of blackberries, chocolate mint, black cherries, minerals and fine spices. Juicy, full-bodied and compact, with a savory center palate loaded with fine, dusty tannins. Long and steady, with rich but fresh fruit and cocoa powder on the finish. Drink it or keep it." (James Suckling 2024)

About the wine :
Catena Alta 2021 Malbec is made with 70% of grapes from Gualtallary in the Uco Valley, the rest from Luján and Maipú. Aged for up to 18 months in new and used French oak barrels, this purple wine reveals aromas of plum and cherry, as well as hints of lavender and violet, all over a subtle layer of cedar. Dry and juicy, the supple, velvety tannins are complemented by an agile flow, resulting in a lightly structured red with a tasty, long-lasting finish. If there's a key to Mendoza Malbec - blending terroirs to enhance complexity - this bottle could be it. 2024-2038
