"One of Catena Zapata's two finest Chardonnays, sourced from a micro-plot whose altitude gives it sublime freshness, according to Vinous!"
"Always the most voluptuous and powerful of this excellent Chardonnay duo from Gualtallary, White Stones has a broad, textured palate, with mineral tension on the finish and very fine, powdery tannins. Notes of baking spices, fresh white peach, and subtle white flowers linger on the nose and unfold on the long and impressive finish. 2024-2036" (Jancis Robinson 2024)

About wine:
The Adrianna Vineyard White Stones Chardonnay 2022 comes from a cool, slightly dry vintage in the Uco Valley. Grown on a small plot of gravel and limestone in Gualtallary, it has a green hue in the glass. Its aromas evoke lime, green apple, and herbs, with subtle notes of ginger and acacia. Dry, agile, and refreshing, the chalky texture enlivens the slightly lean palate, with a lingering, fruity finish. A high-altitude wine, the 2022 vintage has brought additional freshness to this Chardonnay. 2024-2034

About wine:
It is still mineral and incisive and very different from White Bones. It is a more classic Chardonnay, with lots of freshly squeezed lemon, wet stone, flint, and shellfish. Lively acidity on a medium-bodied to full-bodied palate. Tense and intense, this wine is dominated by acidity with a subtle touch of salinity that lingers on the finish. Drink now or keep.
