There's great purity in the BenMarco Expresivo 2016. It's floral, airy, fresh and complex, and it's still very young and alive in a way that I really like. This year's blend is 75% Malbec and 25% Cabernet Franc, with all the herbs and wildflowers of Gualtallary. It has a vibrant mouthfeel, with the typicity of each grape variety well integrated and complementary. 22,000 bottles were bottled in July 2017.

About the wine:
The nose really builds on notes of pure blackcurrant, iodine, ink, graphite, crushed stone, flint, morello cherry and licorice. The fresh purity of fruit that permeates the entire palate is what makes this wine. The tannins are so compact and structuring, framing tons of violet and lavender flavors and carrying them long into the finish. 75% Malbec and 25% Cabernet Franc. Drink from 2022.
