Domaine Ruet

Domaine Ruet is a fine family estate whose adventure began in 1926, and has been perpetuated for five generations. Domaine Ruet is located at the foot of the Brouilly terroir, in Cercié-en-Beaujolais.

Domaine Ruet boasts 21 hectares of hillside vineyards with ideal southern exposure. The soils are granitic, stony and shallow, typical of the Nord-Beaujolais region. Each parcel of vines is carefully tended, with integrated production focused on respect for the environment, natural regulation and observation.

Domaine Ruet wines cover several appellations: Brouilly, Morgon, Côte de Brouilly, Régnié, Beaujolais and Beaujolais Villages, Chiroubles.

"A complete and harmonious wine".

"Fresh and greedy on the nose, the aromatic expression of this cuvée vinified in whole bunches evokes peony and morello cherry. After a clean, supple attack, fairly firm but pleasant tannins coat the palate. A full-bodied, harmonious wine that can be aged without unpleasant surprises". (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2021)

"Half matured in vats and half in tuns, this full-bodied, complex wine clearly shows its full potential. The nose develops notes of ripe red fruit. On the palate, it has everything to please: fine tannins, volume, fruit, mellow oak, balance and length. A real treat. (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2020)

(2018 vintage notes)

A pleasant, juicy, light Chardonnay with lovely lemony acidity and notes of applesauce. The brilliance of Chardonnay adorns this cuvée born in the commune of Morgon. Green apples stand out on the palate, with notes of sincere, salivating white fruit.

This deep, dark garnet Morgon immediately seduces with its aromas of ripe stone fruit (burlat cherry, peach, plum) and even a hint of kirsch. The palate is generous and round, with pronounced tannins. A fine Beaujolais with Burgundy accents.

3*Coup de Coeur Hachette

"The estate's venerable eighty-year-old vines still have much to give and deserve the full consideration of lovers of great Brouilly. David Duthel makes the most of them and has struck again with this bewitching 2015, with its Provençal allure and generosity. The nose, of rare elegance, evokes candied cherry, raspberry and violet. The palate is full-bodied, powerful and voluminous, supported by fine tannins and a mineral framework that ensures balance and reinforces its length". (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2018)
