"Very attractive fruit. Silky texture. Full-bodied. Great delicacy. Superb." (Le Guide des Vins Bettane & Desseauve) We cannot praise this charming red wine enough, with its notes of ripe black fruit that invite indulgence.

Guide Hachette des vins

Wine noted (guide 2019) 1*Star (Very successful wine)

Rated estate (2022 guide) Award-winning wines (This producer's wines are regularly recognized by the guide)

About wine:

Very low yields certainly explain the full-bodied and vigorous character of this Chénas. The tannins are still very firm and will require a little patience to gain roundness. However, the wine is not lacking in richness, with its charming aromas of ripe black fruits.

About the estate:

On the border between Burgundy and Beaujolais, this château takes its name from Sieur Bonnet, alderman of the town of Mâcon, who built a manor house there in 1630, where Lamartine later stayed. Acquired by the Perrachon family in 1973, the estate has 22 hectares of vineyards. Pierre-Yves Perrachon, who has been at the helm since 1988, was joined in 2013 by his daughter Charlotte, an oenologist. He has also partnered with a winegrower from the Mâconnais region to complement his estate with a wine merchant business, Bourgogne Sélect.

About wine:

It may be a light red, but it reveals sparkling blackberry notes and well-balanced acidity. The slightly sappy finish calls for a nice picnic. Drink now.
