Château Bonnet
Château Bonnet, in the Beaujolais region, is owned by Pierre-Yves Perrachon. Today, Pierre-Yves is assisted by his daughter Charlotte. The estate produces wines of varied quality and expression in a wide range of Beaujolais appellations: Chénas, Moulin-à-Vent, Juliénas, Saint-Amour, Beaujolais-Villages. Together, Charlotte and Pierre-Yves cultivate 22 hectares of vines in different appellations: Chénas, Juliénas, Saint-Amour, Moulin à Vent and Beaujolais Villages (white and red).

Château Bonnet 's terroirs are diverse: soils derived from granitic rocks and piemonts for the Chénas and Moulin à Vent vines, the Saint-Amour wines evolve on schists, while the Juliénas express their finesse on volcanic rocks. Château Bonnet works in accordance with the Terra Vitis approach, a quality approach aimed at producing quality wines through sustainable and ecological viticulture! The Beaujolais is one of the few vineyards in the world where the grapes are harvested by hand. The typical Beaujolais wines are obtained by maceration of the grapes in whole bunches.

"An undeniable success (Hachette)".

"Located on the border with the Juliénas cru, Côte de Besset offers a sandstone terroir for the estate's 60-year-old vines. The grapes were macerated for 8 days in whole bunches to deliver a wine of beautiful aromatic intensity, with notes of ripe red fruit, strawberry in particular, round and long on the palate. An undeniable success. (Guide Hachette 2025)

"Cuvée emblem of the estate

"The Château's entire 5-hectare terroir, planted with 60-year-old vines, is the source of this whole-cluster cuvée, which seduces with its balance, length and mineral character. It develops pure notes of fresh red fruit: cherry and redcurrant in particular. A complete, complex Chénas". (Le Guide Hachette 2024)

"A Beaujolais-style Chardonnay

Although the vineyard is best known for its red wines, white wines have long since taken root in Beaujolais. These wines, made from Chardonnay grapes, are becoming increasingly popular with connoisseurs, and their personality is a real attraction. En Pérelle stands out for its fuity, brioche and almond notes, and its lightly toasted palate with a fine balance between freshness and roundness.

"Avé César!"

Did you know? Juliénas owes its name to Julius Caesar, who came to conquer the Beaujolais region and left conquered by Juliénas. No wonder, when you taste this wine with its red fruit, pepper and eucalyptus aromas, fruity mouthfeel and elegant tannins!

This expertise is demonstrated once again with this cuvée of Gamay grapes aged an average of 60 years and grown on weathered granite, foothills and ancient alluvium. Violet, cherry and kirch express themselves on the nose before revealing a fruity, full-bodied palate with fine but present tannins. Character and everything to please.

A tribute to the builder of Château Bonnet in 1630, Confidence de l'Echevin is a parcel-by-parcel selection of century-old vines planted around the Château. Revealed during vinification, the grapes are small, sweet and highly perfumed. Ageing softens the tannins, bringing structure and freshness to this fine Chénas.

This cuvée comes from granite and manganese soils in the communes of Chénas and Romanèche Thorins. A lovely Moulin-à-Vent that develops scents of faded rose and candied fruit. A full-bodied, heady, racy, well-structured wine that will wait its time... Lots of charm!

A Chardonnay as well cared for as the estate's Gamay: the vines have been cultivated using the "lutte raisonnée " method since 1999, and express themselves to the full on clay-loam soils. A rare wine in the appellation (white Beaujolais represents less than 1% of Beaujolais production), it's delicious, lively and fresh, with a spicy nose and aromas of fleurs blanches...
