"The 2013 Juliénas (Château de la Bottière) comes from a 3.75-hectare parcel. It has a more discreet nose than the Domaine des Mouilles cuvée, with earthy accents and small black fruits, enhanced by an iodized flavor. The palate is medium-bodied, with mellow tannins, good volume, fine structure and a blackcurrant finish. Drink now through 2018. (Wine Advocate - Robert Parker)

About the wine:

This seductive cherry-colored wine reveals a delicate nose of red fruits, violets and sweet spices. The mouth, in unison, charms with its fine, smooth tannins and long, graceful finish. A harmonious, highly elegant Julienas.

About the domain :

Winegrowers in Juliénas since the early 17th century, the Perrachon family bought Ch. de la Bottière in 1877, then Dom. des Perelles in Romanèche-Thorins (windmill). When Laurent Perrachon set up in 1989, he acquired Dom. des Mouilles, then parcels in Morgon, Fleurie and Saint-Amour: a total of 31 ha, with vines in six crus. With Maxime and Adrien, the new generation joined the domaine in 2016.
