Vignobles Laurent Perrachon
Vignobles Laurent Perrachon, located in the Beaujolais region, is the brainchild of two eminent members of the Perrachon family, Laurent and Pierre-Yves, two cousins committed to modern viticulture, respectful of nature and attentive to the terroirs, while leaving its place to a Beaujolais tradition that is more alive than ever through its crus.

At Vignobles Laurent Perrachon, the former is responsible for Domaine des Mouilles and Château de la Bottière, and produces top-quality Juliénas - he is also President of the appellation's Cru. The work at Vignobles Laurent Perrachon follows in the footsteps of previous generations and respects tradition: exclusively manual harvesting and traditional Burgundian vinification combined with Beaujolais carbonic maceration. The reputation of Laurent Perrachon wines is well established, among wine lovers and Michelin-starred chefs alike.

"A virtuoso, delicate cuvée with aromas of red fruit, iris and wilted roses".

Moulin à Vent is often called the "Lord of the Beaujolais". It's a full-bodied wine with aromas of red fruits, flowers and spices. Its youthful expression is best appreciated now, with a little decanting before serving.

"All the expertise of the estate is expressed in this complex cuvée with incredible potential".

The best Morgon terroir, at the foot of the Côte du Py hill. The grapes are harvested from a 42-acre parcel of very stony, schistose soil, rich in iron oxides, a quality characteristic of this appellation. It produces a very fresh, bright purple wine, aged in barrels. Typical kirsch aromas with peppery nuances blend delicately with animal and vegetable notes.

"A love of red wine, mouth-watering and harmonious!"

This wine is the most recent addition to the domaine. This small parcel of 28 ares, on a granitic, very stony terroir, dominates the village of Saint-Véran to the north of the St Amour appellation. In its intense ruby color, it's a sensual, easy-drinking wine with lots of personality, delicate, with a beautiful harmony between fruit and tannins.

"From a steep, south-facing vineyard planted with 70-year-old vines, this rich wine has great potential. The tannins support the black fruit and acidity. The wine will be best from 2022 onwards." (Wine Enthusiast 2021) Reflecting its blue rock-rich terroir, Les Mouilles features a mineral profile, with a powerful, structured palate. A beautiful personality.

"The Morgon Les Versauds 2013 has a bouquet of black cherry tinged with iodine scents that deserves a little more bottle to fully blossom. The palate is soft and ripe on the attack, with notes of black cherry and blackcurrant mixed with cedar, leading to a structured finish. Give it another 2-3 years in bottle, drinking through 2022." "The 2013 Juliénas (Château de la Bottière) comes from a 3.75-hectare parcel. It has a more discreet nose than the Domaine des Mouilles cuvée, with earthy accents and small black fruits, enhanced by an iodized flavor. The palate is medium-bodied, with mellow tannins, good volume, fine structure and a blackcurrant finish. Drink now through 2018. (Wine Advocate - Robert Parker)

Laurent Perrachon has created a very fine Moulin-à-Vent Cuvée Spéciale, aged in oak barrels. A wine both rich and powerful, in the image of great Burgundies. Delicate aromas of black fruit, vanilla and pepper. The tannins are already supple, the palate balanced, racy and powerful. A wine of choice!
