The terroirs and cuvées of the Guénaël Jambon estate are worked according to a parcel-by-parcel and "natural" philosophy, where the enhancement of the terroir remains the basis for the creation of the wines.
The idea is always to make clean, precise wines.
Most of the plots are located on the southern slopes of the Côte du Py, with its rich terroir of blue rock, schist and decomposing iron oxide and manganese. The result is a Morgon with minerality, fruit and substance.
The second part of the Morgon range is located in the "Charmes" and "Grands Cras" climates on granitic and sandy terroirs, producing generous wines with notes of red fruit and supple tannins.
The exposure and exceptional terroir of these plots are combined with respect for the vines and rigorous cultivation techniques.
In fact, Guénaël is committed to letting the terroir express itself to the full by tilling the soil, planting grass and using integrated vineyard management.
Yield control and manual harvesting enable the grapes to be selected to obtain optimum organoleptic quality for vinification.
The wines are aged according to their specific characteristics in vats, oak foudres and barrels.
The estate consists of 20 hectares planted with Gamay grapes:
Morgon "Côte du Py", Morgon "Charmes",
Morgon "Grand Cras", Fleurie, Chiroubles, Beaujolais Villages

Domaine Guénaël Jambon - Morgon Côte du Py Réserve 2020
Morgon|Red wine
3.4/5 (7 reviews)
89/100 RVF
"The nose seduces with notes of cocoa powder, red fruit and licorice stick. The palate is medium-bodied, with a slight warmth on the finish. It should be drunk young. (La Revue du Vin de France - July 2022) A cuvée well known to 1J1V customers and regularly awarded by the press. The 2020 is once again very impressive. Round and intense. Great potential!
