Visit Château Le Puy is located in the Libourne region, between the villages of Francs and Pusseguin, on one of the most prestigious asteriated limestone plateaus on the right bank. This dominant position gave it its name in Roman times, "Le Puy" meaning a high place, a mountainous peak.

The estate has belonged to the Amoreau family for 15 generations, and since 1610 they have been committed to a natural, chemical-free approach to winemaking. Today, Château Le Puy, certified organic and biodynamic, is a model in the Bordeaux winegrowing landscape.

With its Emilien, Barthélemy and Retour des îles cuvées, Château Le Puy presents an extraordinary style. These singular wines are infused rather than extracted, as is usually the case, for even greater tenderness and finesse. They can be enjoyed in their youth, yet have great cellaring potential.

"Elegantly elegant, this is the estate's historic wine!

Reflecting all the parcels of Château Le Puy, this unfiltered Cuvée Emilien is made from vines planted with 85% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Cabernet Franc, 1% Malbec and 1% Carménère. This certified organic and Biodynamic wine is obtained by decanting in foudres and barrels tested for 24 months. It offers a round style, with ripe red fruit and velvety tannins.

Barthélemy comes from a plot of Château Le Puy called "Les Rocs", made up of 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon. This certified organic and Biodynamic wine is produced using a natural vinification process known as infusion (like tea), rather than extraction. Cuvée Barthélemy is the ideal complement to all fine, delicate dishes. - Delivery in wooden cases possible for orders of 3 bottles of this wine (depending on country and shipping method selected).

Each year, the "Retour des îles" cuvée is a fine selection of the best barrels from the "Barthélemy" cuvée. The barrels then embark on a circumnavigation of the Atlantic by sail. After at least a year's ageing by dynamization in our cellars, this wine benefits from the swells and winds for almost a whole year aboard a schooner.
