Château l'Evêché
Château l'Evêché is owned by the Capdeville family, based at La Chapelle Lescours, and produces AOC Bordeaux and AOC Saint-Emilion Grand Cru wines. Today, Château l'Evêché boasts 4.20 hectares of vines, from which the most gravelly acres are selected to create the estate's flagship cuvée.

Château l'Evêché 's vineyards are cultivated using sustainable methods: ploughing, simple or mixed guyot pruning with a load adapted to each vine, green thinning/cleaning of each vine stock. Château l'Evêché uses traditional Bordeaux winemaking methods to produce AOC Bordeaux and AOC Saint-Emilion Grand Cru wines that are among the highest quality in the region.

This Bordeaux reveals an expressive nose, with aromas of ripe red fruit, blackcurrant, tobacco and a slightly animal nuance. Full-bodied, supple and generous on the palate, with good substance and a heathery note on the finish, which is greedy and well-balanced. A truly fine Bordeaux!

"Good concentration on the nose with notes of pineapple, crisp green apple and fine lees. The palate is well-balanced on the attack with green apple, pear and a touch of lychee, leading to a finish of fine purity. A very well-executed 2010" (Wine Advocate - Robert Parker) A micro-cuvée produced in a limited edition of just 1400 bottles - Wooden crate delivery for orders delivered in France of 6 bottles of this wine.

La Chapelle Lescours is the estate's second wine, a red with notes of very ripe fruit, figs, laurel and aniseed nuances. A full-bodied Grand Cru, with tannins and a fleshy, chocolatey finish. A great second!

Château L'Evêché, a Grand Cru in Saint-Emilion, also owns nearly 6 hectares of Bordeaux appellation vines on the hillsides on the other bank of the Dordogne, in Nérigean and Pujols, where this Origami cuvée is produced: a wine of pure pleasure, tasty, silky and well-balanced, with surprising value for money. A great success !
