La Chapelle Lescours is the estate's second wine, a red with notes of very ripe fruit, figs, laurel and aniseed nuances. A full-bodied Grand Cru, with tannins and a fleshy, chocolatey finish. A great second!

Bettane & Desseauve

Bettane & Desseauve

Domaine rated (2016 guide) 1*Star (A serious, recommendable production, in line with what one has the right to expect from its appellation(s))

About the domain :

This cru de poupée by François Janoueix has two parcels located in the Beauregard and Cheval Blanc west sectors. The soil is composed of gravel and ancient sands, and the vines are in their fifties.

Wine Spectator

Wine rated (2013 guide) 88/100 (Good wine)

About the wine:

An exuberant profile, with roasted bay leaf, very ripe notes of pastis and fig, ripe fruit and a velvety, chocolaty finish. Probably a little extreme for some, but there's no denying its ambition. Drink now through 2018.
