"La Bergeronnette 2016 is a pure Cabernet Franc in Bordeaux Supérieur. It has a fiery bouquet, with touches of green bell pepper, infusing the "dynamic" black fruit that demands attention. The palate is medium-bodied with eye-catching black fruit. There's a lovely acidic backbone that guarantees the sensation of freshness and precision right through to the finish. It's not surprising that this wine was a success en primeur. It's an excellent wine." (Wine Advocate 2017 - Neal Martin)

Bettane & Desseauve
Rated (2018 guide) 15/20 (Very good wine)
Domaine rated (guide 2022) 1*Star (A serious, recommendable production, in line with what one has the right to expect from its appellation(s))
About the wine:
With a majority of Cabernet Franc, this harmonious, fresh cuvée impresses with its brilliance and depth.
About the domain :
For the past half-decade, this Entre-Deux-Mers cru has been seducing visitors with its generous wines, expressive fruitiness and toasty woodiness.
Decanter
Rated wine (2018 guide) 90/100
About the wine:
A 100% Cabernet Franc is not usually associated with a bottle from Bordeaux or Burgundy! This one shows juicy, ripe fruit, but still with the classic bell pepper notes associated with the grape variety. The tannins are not so so don't be afraid to pair it with prime rib.

Rated (2019 guide) 15.5/20 (Good wine)
Domaine rated (guide 2022) 1*Star (Stars in the making or quality winemakers with good production levels, you won't be disappointed when you taste the wines from these estates)
About the domain :
From his family's right-bank vineyard in Vérac, near Fronsac, Hervé Lhuillier has created a true brand of Bordeaux Supérieur, whose fundamentals are depth, authenticity and careful oakiness. New vines of Sauvignon, Malbec and Petit Verdot, planted on outcropping limestone (the quarries are open to visitors), will soon go into production. While the densimetric sorting machine has brought greater precision to 2018, we're still thirsty about the somewhat cartoonish extractions and ageing. Let's give the wines time to settle before considering removing the star.
Wine Enthusiast
Rated wine (2018 guide) 91/100
About the wine:
An immediately attractive, fragrant wine with fine tannins and rich berries, which has great potential. It's full, ripe and will age well. Just wait until 2022.
