"Very nice fruity expression!"
"Very fine fruity expression marked by notes of lime, grapefruit and white pepper. The wine is fruity, juicy, balanced and thirst-quenching. The finish is fruity, saline and persistent, ideally sustained and stretched by a noble bitterness. A great success " (Yves Beck 2022)

Expert opinion
Bettane & Desseauve
Estate rated (2016 guide) 3*Stars (High-quality production that can serve as a benchmark in its sector)
About the domain :
The Despagne family has five estates and 300 hectares of vines, planted with traditional Bordeaux grape varieties. The seriousness, inventiveness and skill of the Despagne family mean that all their wines, and in particular those from their flagship estates, Tour de Mirambeau and Rauzan Despagne, could serve as a model for many a Bordeaux: always flattering, but never far from Bordeaux classicism.
Decanter
Rated wine (guide 2022) 88/100
About the wine:
Bright and lively in the glass, a touch of lemon zest and lime with a tangy sorbet taste to the fruit, giving a peak of intensity. Apricot and pineapple too, tart, sweet and ripe - there's a lot going on here, but it's well balanced and easy to enjoy and drink. 2022-2029
Guide Hachette des vins
Domaine rated (guide 2016) Awarded wines (The wines of this producer are regularly awarded by the guide)
About the domain :
A former fortified place, remodeled in the 19th century, which commands a vast 100-hectare vineyard acquired in 1998 by the Despagne family (Rauzan Despagne, Bel Air Perponcher, Tour de Mirambeau, Lion Beaulieu). A regular vintage in terms of quality, and highly reputed in China ever since the wine was compared to a Freddie Mercury concert in the famous manga Les Gouttes de Dieu.
Vinous A. Galloni
Rated wine (guide 2022) 90-92/100
About the wine:
The 2021 Blanc has a well-defined bouquet with fine minerality. The palate is well balanced with lively acidity and tart lemon notes, but retains superb balance and confidence through to the finish. 2024 - 2030
Le Figaro vins
Rated wine (guide 2022) 89/100
About the wine:
Particularly shy at first, the Sauvignon doesn't hesitate to show a facet of its personality in moderation. On the palate, the material is still a little abrupt, with marked acidity, lemony notes and a slightly chalky edge. Let's wait for it to mellow. 2024 - 2030
Yves Beck

Beautiful fruity expression marked by notes of lime, grapefruit and white pepper. The wine is fruity, juicy, balanced and thirst-quenching. The finish is fruity, saline and persistent, ideally sustained and stretched by a noble bitterness. A great success! Now - 2027
