A "Coup de coeur" finalist, this 2013 immediately seduces with its intense, gourmet bouquet of exotic fruit, citrus, ripe apple and pastry. A fresh, supple attack introduces an equally expressive palate, ample, round and very long, well supported by fine, measured oak. An elegant, complete and complex Bordeaux". Bettane & Desseauve

Bettane & Desseauve

Estate rated (2016 guide) 3*Stars (High-quality production that can serve as a benchmark in its sector)

About the domain :

The Despagne family has five estates and 300 hectares of vines, planted with traditional Bordeaux grape varieties. The seriousness, inventiveness and skill of the Despagne family mean that all their wines, and in particular those from their flagship estates, Tour de Mirambeau and Rauzan Despagne, could serve as a model for many a Bordeaux: always flattering, but never far from Bordeaux classicism.

About the domain :

A former fortified place, remodeled in the 19th century, which commands a vast 100-hectare vineyard acquired in 1998 by the Despagne family (Rauzan Despagne, Bel Air Perponcher, Tour de Mirambeau, Lion Beaulieu). A regular vintage in terms of quality, and highly reputed in China ever since the wine was compared to a Freddie Mercury concert in the famous manga Les Gouttes de Dieu.
