"Deep and dark, this 2018 delivers a delicate, complex bouquet blending red fruits, almond, hazelnut and a dash of eucalyptus. Supple and fresh on the attack, the palate displays good volume, underpinned by refined tannins." (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2022) Wonderful value for money!

Expert opinion
Bettane & Desseauve
Domaine rated 1*Star (A serious, recommendable production, in line with what one has the right to expect from its appellation(s))
About the domain :
Located in La Sauve-Majeure, in the heart of the Entre-Deux-Mers region, this estate has long been a classic for good Bordeaux at affordable prices, in all three colors. The Courselle family, who oversee the château and its vinifications with talent and expertise, have created the archetypal good address. Sylvie and Marie Courselle, Francis' daughters, have inherited the family passion. Both engineers and oenologists, they have now taken over Thieuley's destiny. Red, white and clairet wines are always well-crafted, tasty, gourmet and well-balanced. Don't miss the particularly elegant cuvée francis-courselle.

Domaine noté (guide 2021) Award-winning wines (The wines of this producer are regularly awarded by the guide)
About the wine:
Deep and dark, this 2018 delivers a delicate, complex bouquet blending red fruit, almond, hazelnut and a hint of eucalyptus. Supple and fresh on the attack, the palate is full-bodied, supported by refined tannins.
About the domain :
The Courselle winegrowing history began in 1949 with the purchase of Ch. Thieuley, not far from La Sauve-Majeure, by André Courselle. Under the impetus of Francis and, since 2004, his daughters Sylvie and Marie, the vineyard now covers 80 hectares and three crus: Thieuley, a benchmark in Bordeaux, Ch. Saint-Genès, destined for export, and Clos Sainte-Anne, 5 hectares of gravel in Capian.
